New York Fashion Week is always a spectacle, but some shows don’t just showcase clothes, they tell a story. That was exactly the case on February 9 at Glass House NYC, where MEFeater’s Annual Galentine’s NYFW Runway Show set the stage for Dionne, the visionary behind FUTURA, to unveil The Hunt, their FW/SS25 collection. And let’s just say, it was one for the books.

FUTURA has always been a brand that thrives on duality, blending retro-futurism with nostalgia, the past with the future, and storytelling with bold, unconventional design. The Hunt was no exception. Sponsored by Fenty Hair and Puma Footwear, the collection turned the runway into a high-fashion survivalist dream, merging rugged utility with avant-garde edge. Think earthy tones, organic textures, and silhouettes that demand attention. It wasn’t just about the clothes, it was about resilience, transformation, and embracing one’s roots.

Dionne’s Texas heritage played a huge role in shaping this collection. But let’s be clear, this wasn’t a literal translation of hunting culture with camo jackets and boots. It was a reimagination. A fusion of survival instincts and high fashion, where structured suedes, fur accents, and deconstructed layers told a deeper story about evolution, nature, and personal history.

And the energy? Unreal. Honey Bxby took the stage for a live performance, draped in custom FUTURA pieces, making sure the night wasn’t just about fashion, it was an experience. Models like Jourdin Pauline and Tiva Fox led a lineup of 14 models in total, the collection unfolded like a cinematic journey, bold, intentional, and impossible to ignore.

Dionne’s journey to this moment has been nothing short of inspiring. From reconstructing thrifted clothes in high school to launching FUTURA, their work has always been about pushing boundaries and rewriting the rules of fashion. “I’ve always been fascinated with the intersection of past and future,” Dionne shared in a recent interview. “I wanted to create a brand that doesn’t just reflect where we’ve been, but where we’re going.” And that’s exactly what The Hunt did, pushed forward, challenged convention, and left us wanting more.

MEFeater’s Galentine’s NYFW Runway Show proved once again that it’s not just about the big-name designers, it’s about the creatives who are shaping the future of fashion. FUTURA reminded us why it’s a brand to watch, and if The Hunt was any indication of what’s next, then trust us, we’ll be following every move.
