Audible consumption that will pull you out during your 9-5 reality

Yes ! Speaking from experience, when I find myself only listening to the coffee machine, Microsoft Teams pings and something about “reaching optimisation for the Q1 deliverables”... that’s around the time I start to astro project elsewhere. So to save the day, I put in earphones and have my top 5 audio media I like to consume.
A party DJ set
There’s something about listening to a DJ set whilst being stationary that gives you an outerbody experience. A Brazilian Funk/Afro House set. Literally transcending the game ! It’s so fun for your imagination. You might think, how can you vibe out to such music in an office environment. But when you limit your shoulders and feet to being the only body parts to dance with, follow that boom cha cha beat to the pace you're typing with on your keyboard, bebê you’re in the favelas.
An insanely long voice note from your unemployed friend.
It could be gossip, an update from your friend about getting tickets to that event you can’t get because you're working or how to plan a group trip including 12 people. Literally anything from your unemployed friend during working hours is a great distraction on a Tuesday. The life of an unemployed never fails to entertain and I love that for them. It’s a win-win situation, you both keep each other company.
BUBBA by Kaytranada
This album is an instant hit of dopamine, like you wouldn't even need a smoke break after just a couple songs. Songs like Freefall, 10%, Vex Oh makes you immediately love doing your job. You will genuinely start to understand what “reaching optimisation for Q1 deliverables” means.
A silly podcast
My personal favourites are The Upstairs Neighbours and Emergency Intercom. Those podcasts are pure whimsy and pop culture brain rot humour, they are addicting. Listening to Maya and Dom, the hosts of The Upstairs Neighbours, speak in encrypted language that you would need a concerning amount of screen time to understand, refreshes your mind from the perplexing excel sheet that you have been staring at for 20 minutes. (Again, speaking from experience) Enya and Drew, hosts of Emergency Intercom, have been entertaining on the internet since Vine and they never run out of anything to say. It may sound silly at first but once they hit that pen, they reach a flowstate.
Micheal Jackson’s discography on shuffle
That's pretty self explanatory, no ?
The goal is during your 9-5 job you want to do efficient work but also keep some of your humanity that not even work bae or bestie can help with. Unless you genuinely enjoy your 9-5 then congrats ?ho
